Statistical analysis of the influence of body height of ATP players on the success of their game
Nechanický, Michal ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Statistical analysis of the influence of body height of ATP players on the success of their game Objectives: The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to determine whether a player's body height affects his position in the ATP rankings and whether it affects the effectiveness of his serve. At the same time, I will investigate the possible influence of surfaces on player's serve statistics and his position in the ATP rankings. Methods: The mentioned monitoring was determined on a sample of TOP 200 players of the ATP ranking. Mathematical-statistical analysis of the data was carried out by collecting the data reported on the official ATP website. The results of my investigation were compared with similar characteristics of selected professional literature. Results: Mathematical-statistical analysis showed a loose correlation between a player's body height and his position in the ATP rankings. Furthermore, a stronger correlation was shown between serve statistics and ranking and between serve statistics and player height. This correlation changes with the type of surface, where the most closeness to the player's position in the ATP ranking or his body height is shown by the serve statistics of the player serving on a hard surface. Evaluation of the Success of selected game skills in mens Volleyball extraleague
Toman, Jiří ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Petružela, Jan (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the Success of selected game skills in mens Volleyball extraleague Keywords: volleyball, serve, pass, success, player, team Objectives: The primary goal of this bachelor's thesis, was to comparison of two types of serves, namely jump float and jump spin serves and in addition, comparison of its passes. The secondary objective was the analysis of these two serves and reception of the ball which were assessted based on a scale of serve and a pass. Methods: To construct the analysis, data was collected and imputed to table using strokes. The data was obteined by closely monitoring games from match recordings. Furthermore, in order to analyse the data correctly, the game had to be split into individual sections of serves, passes and subsequent sets. The last method that was used in this work was the evaluatin scale, both for serves and passes. Results: The results were noted for clarity in graphs and tables, where they were commented.
Adverse reactions to radiographic contrast material
KUBŮ, Štěpán
The main topic of this bachelor thesis are adverse reactions to radiographic contrast material. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of contrast agents, history and their properties. The theoretical part also defines the concept of pharmacovigilance. I also present the division of individual contrast material according to diagnostic methods, adverse reactions after the application of contrast material in individual diagnostic methods, first aid in the case of an allergic reaction to contrast material and the reporting of suspected adverse reactions. The theoretical part is processed from professional publications, articles and websites in the form of literary review. The aim of my work was to map the occurrence of the most common reactions to specific contrast material. This aim was supported by two research questions: "Which are the most common types of reactions? Which controst material most often cause an adverse reaction? How do staff deal with side effects? " The aim and research question was fullfilled with questionary survey, the survey was attended by 33 responders (radiological assistants). The questionnaire included questions related to the occurrence of the most common adverse reactions of contrast agents, first aid for adverse reactions and other information related to adverse reactions of contrast agents.
Junior tennis technique
Hanzlík, David ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Junior tennis technique The bachelor's thesis analyzes the technique of shots among junior tennis players, in particular intermediate and advanced players (both males and females) aged between 11 and 15 years of age. It focuses on three basic shots in tennis: forehand, backhand and serve as those are the most frequent shots in the game. This thesis describes individual parts of the research and highlights methods being video recording, testing, observation. With the help of video the thesis analyzes particular details of the level of skill of the shot making of individual players. Objectives: Analysis and evaluation of forehand, backhand and serve technique between tennis players in tennis school. Methods: Video analysis, observation and testing method Results: Based upon the findings, we can conclude that shot making success rate was much higher than that of efficiency amongst the players. As far as technical execution of the shots goes, players had better rating in backhands than forehands. However, efficiency was better in forehand shots. The worst aspect was the serve where technical execution as well as efficiency was far worse than that of backhands and forehands among half the players analyzed. The most common mistakes were: wrong or inadequate use of the center of gravity,...
Analysis of frequency individual's game activities of serve and of pass in zone I, V and VI at the adolescent.
Gabrielová, Žaneta ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Analysis of frequency individual's game activities of serve and of pass in zone I, V and VI at the adolescent. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was individual 's game activities of serve and of pass, mainly specialization frequency of serve to zones I, V and VI and success of passes from these zones, between zones II and III. Methods: For processing results of thesis were used methods of observation, questioning and method of analysis. Method of analysis was applied on receiving data from individual training of unit. The results of research were showed by graphs and comments. Results: We found out according to results of research, that dividing of court on individual zones is not important for pass and serve at age of category - adolescent. During of testing no of zones in back side of court was different from another zones, to say that the zone is the most successful. In my subjective opinion the most importatnt is angle of pass. In profesional squash is minimum returns directing straight front, cross front and boast. Assessment of the timing of tennis strokes using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography
Harrer, Jakub ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: Assessment of the timing of tennis strokes using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography Aims: Assess the timing of tennis forhand, service and appropriate training exercises using kinematic analysis. Describe the activation of muscles in time for the chosen execution of the strokes by recording surface electromyography (SEMG). Compare the results of various executions and describe the differences between using the racquets with different parameters and between executions of various training exercises. Method: Case study using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography was made. Results: We have found out that the execution of the strokes using the players own racquet was the most stable. We have found the differences in timing while using various racquets. The heavier the equipment we are using in training exercise is the more different is the timing of this movement. We concluded that the chosen training exercises are inappropriate as the special exercises to improve coordination. Key words: tennis, timing, service, forhand, electromyographic analysis, kinematic analysis
